CGI Hale 2026 - 5786

Welcome to Camp Gan Israel (CGI) in Hale! We are excited to be running our camp once again this summer, and we are delighted that you are here to join us!

'CGI Hale' is proud to be part of the largest and fastest growing network of Jewish day camps in the world. Gan Israel enjoys a well-earned reputation as a trendsetter with innovative ideas, creative programs and new activities.

CGI is a place where children can experience firsthand the richness, excitement and warmth of Judaism in a lively and nurturing environment. Jewish themes are taught through exciting activities, stories, songs, games and contests, which are part of the unique CGI experience.

After such a successful camp last summer, our program will once again run for two weeks this summer. You can sign up for Week 1 or Week 2 individually, or even better sign up for both!

Our 2-week program includes Arts & Crafts, Baking, Games, Trips, Wacky Science, Sports, Painting, Inflatables, Entertainers, Challah Bake and so much more!

CGI Hale is organised and directed by Rabbi Mendel and Rivkah Chein - Chabad of Trafford.

F.A.Q.

Q: What hours does camp run?
A: Camp runs from 9.00am-3.30pm, Monday – Friday.
Drop-off is from 8.45-9.00am and pick-up is from 3.25-3.40pm.

Q: Can I send my child for only part of the week?
A: No. Our experience and that of the CGI camps worldwide, shows the benefit of children attending the full week of camp and we encourage you to book your child(ren) for the full week. It avoids disruption and social anxiety of having to fit into established groups, learn camp songs and schedules that the other children already know, or miss out on the continuity of games and activities.

Q: Do I need to send food or drink with my child?
A: Nope! We are providing lunch, snacks and drinks for the children at no extra charge. If you want to send your child with a water bottle, please label it.

Q: Will the children be going on any trips?
A: Yes! Camp will be going on trips each week, in addition to entertainers and entertainment coming to camp.

Q: Do you offer any sibling or other discounts?
A: We can offer a 10% discount for a second or any subsequent child, but only upon request. In addition, it is the policy of Chabad Lubavitch that no child is refused admission for financial reasons. If you feel it is too difficult to pay the prices listed above, please feel free to discuss this in confidence with Rabbi Mendel so we can make camp work for you and your child(ren).

Q: What safety precautions will you be taking in camp?
A:  We will be having a full-time security guard on site throughout the day, and camp is held in a closed and gated campus. In addition, all staff will have background checks completed and follow the strict guidelines of the Chabad Lubavitch safeguarding policy.

Q: I have a question not listed above. How can I get in touch?
A: Please be in touch with Rabbi Mendel - 07935 895600 or Rivkah - 07935 896232 and we’ll be happy to answer your questions.
